Hi there! I’m the face behind ShopRetroRebel, based right here in Greater Manchester. For me, retro culture, music subcultures, and bohemian style aren't just shop categories—they’ve been my way of life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in Manchester, I had a front-row seat through the glory years of UK punk, post-punk, synth-pop, and 70s/80s alternative music. I was lucky enough to live it all right at the epicenter:
• Catching Buzzcocks numerous times around Manchester
• Seeing Joy Division at Bowdon Vale Youth Club
• Being at the iconic PiL gig at Belle Vue Kings Hall in ’79, right before it closed its doors
• Following Gary Numan from his Telekon tour onwards
• Plus countless gigs with The Human League, The Adverts, Sham 69, The Boomtown Rats, Toyah, OMD... and honestly, pretty much anything 70s and 80s! To this day, you'll still find me down at gig venues every chance I get.
That raw, authentic energy and DIY street aesthetic inspires every piece of digital artwork in this shop—designed specifically for studio spaces, music rooms, and rebel homes.
